A gentle giant is not what we expected from Truman when he was born, but that is certainly what he has grown into! This larger than life gelding combines size, movement and temperament to create the ultimate package! 
Please note the third image above, showing him near his 15hand pasture mate... who he dwarfs! Born a 'Dummy Foal' (lay-term for neonatal encephalopathy), Truman shows no signs of such an eventful beginning to life, and it certainly hasn't stunted his growth!
Truman's breeding includes an eclectic mixture of extremely athletic and successfully competitive horses, bestowing on him their best traits to deliver a horse with natural charisma. Truman is sired by the Bashkir Curly gelding *YS Tanjobi, is trained and continues to show marked talent for performing upper level movements. His dam is the American Warmblood mare Wunderkind. *YS Tanjobi has competed successfully in open, regional and national shows in a variety of disciplines. He has also represented the breed at numerous expos and horse fairs, and continues to be used for educational and entertaining exhibitions. Wunderkind's breeding combines Bavarian Warmblood with Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred lines. Among those include the Quarter Horse stallion Gray's Starlight, a successful reining horse himself but more impressive have been the successes of his offspring who have earned over $8 Million! The Thoroughbred stallion Man O'War makes an appearance as well as Bull Lea (sire of Citation, 1948 Triple Crown Winner), Count Fleet (1943 Triple Crown Winner), Hyperion (sired by the 1918 English Triple Crown Winner, Gainsborough, and whose influence on the jumping world can be found in such horses as: the Dutch jumping stallion Lucky Boy; the USET jumper, winner of the puissance at Aachen, Aberali, who was also ridden in the Disney movie 'The Horse In A Gray Flannel Suit'; dressage star Aktion ridden by Gylla Dallos; the most successful Thoroughbred sire of the 20th century, Northern Dancer; and the stallions Zeoliet, Armstrong and Rolando.), and Sir Gallahad III (found in many Show Jumper bloodlines). Truman's dam-sire also traces back to the Hanoverian stallion Fluegeladjutant (Fluegelmann I), who founded the F/W lines.
Truman leads, ties, bathes and trims... like the his brother Theo, it would be difficult not to catch him from the pasture! Currently in regular lunging and ground-work training and on his way to being started under saddle. Like his brother and sire, Truman shows curiosity and deep seated attention when being worked with. I don't believe he has finished growing though don't expect him to make any huge growth spurts anymore. Beautifully marked with the splash overo gene, complete with a roaned pinto spot on his right flank, small spots on his belly, four tall white stockings, a wrap around blaze and a blue chip in his right eye.
Loves to be bathed just like the rest of his herdmates and is happy to start a chain of grooming with his peers. Very curly winter coat, sheds to smooth/lightly rippled in the summer. Lovely split curly mane of short/medium length and a lovely tail.
A stunning mover with the brilliance, size and athletic talent to go far in Dressage, Truman has also shown a life-long talent in jumping and bravery which would suit him as a jumper as well. Bred to do either or both, with the personality to also be a great partner!
