Elegant and refined, Theodore is as pretty as he is attentive! Theo's lovely traits shine through as proof of his breeding and can be instantly recognized. The kind of horse who would just as soon be cuddled and groomed as eat, it is hard to find another young horse so personable.
Theo was bred specifically with Dressage in mind and there is no doubt to his potential. Theo's sire is the Bashkir Curly gelding *YS Tanjobi, is trained and continues to show marked talent for performing upper level movements. His dam (who is also currently for sale) is the Hanoverian mare Andeut, whose pedigree boasts not only of champion Hanoverian Dressage stallions but also Thoroughbred racing champions! *YS Tanjobi has competed successfully in open, regional and national shows in a variety of disciplines. He has also represented the breed at numerous expos and horse fairs, and continues to be used for educational and entertaining exhibitions. Andeut competed at the lower levels of Dressage as a young mare and showed considerable promise before being retired to breeding and later purchased by us for our own breeding program. She is sired by the now deceased Adios III, who decends from the well known 'A' line of Absatz, known for stamping a very specific type as well as bestowing both Dressage and Jumping talent. Andeut's Thoroughbred lineage is also quite impressive containing champion racers, the x-factor, and stallions known for producing excellent Steeplechasing talents. Among those include twice to War Admiral (1937 Triple Crown Winner, Horse of the Year, Champion 3-year-old and Hall of Fame Inductee) who is son of Man O' War.
Theo leads, ties, bathes and trims... catching has never been an issue with or without a halter in hand! He is learning to pick his hooves up from voice commands alone. Currently in regular lunging and ground-work training and on his way to being started under saddle. Wonderful horse to work with, is the perfect partner and listens to every nuance carefully! If he is anything like his sire he will finish off his final height growth in his 7th year though he has slowed down at this point. Almost identical to his sire in markings and color, often we get the two mixed up in the pasture still!
Fights to the front of the herd if the chance of being hosed down is available, loves the water! Very very curly in the winter, sheds out in the summer to a smooth/lightly rippled coat. Split mane of a short/medium length and a nice length of tail. Theo has been blessed with stunning movement with the natural disposition towards Dressage. Certain to be a star with the right partner!
